At the beginning of May, the UK Government introduced the draft Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill for pre-legislative scrutiny. This Bill puts into motion the introduction of Martyn’s Law; a landmark legislative requirement for premises with public access to protect the public from terrorism, through appropriate and proportionate measures.
This landmark legislation will fundamentally change the way in which businesses, premises, and events are required to assess, and mitigate against, the threat of terrorism and will impact over 250,000 locations across the UK.
This webinar will provide an overview of the draft Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill – Martyn’s Law, how it is expected to work, what the insurance industry and policyholders need to be prepared for, and what resources are available.
